Welcome to the Heartford House -- Located on 10.8 acres in Owensboro, Hospice of Western Kentucky's inpatient facility opened in October 2013, offering a beautiful, peaceful setting for patients and their families. It is the first free-standing hospice inpatient facility in Western Kentucky.
The warm, home-like settings of Heartford House were designed with family members and friends in mind, including "The Great Room" for relaxation, family gatherings and entertaining guests; a family room with TV, microwave and refrigerator; a kids' entertainment area; a chapel/meditation room; and beautiful outdoor settings with a lake, gazebo, and walking trails.

Our dedicated Heartford House team consists of a medical director, nurses and aides, social workers, and spiritual and bereavement counselors, all specially trained and dedicated to providing skilled medical and supportive care.
Dietitian and pharmacist services
Temporary admissions to a hospice inpatient facility may occur if the patient requires more specialized care than can be given at home. Some examples of conditions are:
